Dr. Gregory Paul Meyjes spoke for around an hour and answered questions for 45 minutes. A linguist and cultural scholar as well as a member of the Baha\u2019i faith, Dr. Meyjes stressed the importance of prioritizing the oneness of humanity in our encounters with one another while appreciating culture &#8211; in all its diversity &#8211; as a foundation of identity. He encouraged those interested in the work of race unity to be active in their efforts to appreciate these two aspects of the other and to also focus on civic and social realizations of racially unifying actions. The majority of the audience voiced intentions to work together on actions outlined and to be outlined.
